Social Value

NUKO Planning understands the value of giving back. That’s why we promote and support the following great causes and initiatives

Guillain-Barré Syndrome Charity

We donate to the Guillain-Barré Syndrome charity.

The charity has been chosen by the Trustees, as a member of the family passed away from the rare disease. The charity is underfunded, and needs research & development funding.

NHS England’s Healthy Placemaking Programme

Our planning director, Harry Dodd, was involved with the production of NHS England’s Healthy New Towns guidance publication, which sets out how planning can benefit and support public health.  The final report can be found here.

In 2018 he presented and promoted - alongside a panel of MPs and influential professionals and academics - a report prepared by the Town and Country Planning Association outlining the economic benefits to developers of ‘healthy placemaking’.  Read more here.

Terrance Higgins Trust

Our planning Director has played an active role in campaigning for the Terrance Higgins Trust and their work on the wider roll out of PrEP.

Between 2015 and 2018, Harry has been in the national media, as well as on BBC Radio 4 and Sky News as an advocate for THT - as well as speaking at the House of Commons on the topic, and attending a function at the House of Lords.  Here are a few teasers, as well as a photo of Harry with former Health Minister and Speaker of the House of Lords, Lord Normal Fowler.
